Mr. Xu Tang

Research Assistant, Department of Urban Planning and Design, The University of Hong Kong

Xu Tang is currently a Research Assistant in the Department of Urban Planning and Design at the University of Hong Kong. He graduated with high distinction from RMIT University in late 2021, earning his Master of Architecture degree. Mr. Tang’s research interests primarily lie in generative design, parametric design, building performance simulation, outdoor thermal acceptance, urban microclimate, and urban public health. His focus is on providing architects and urban designers with rapid performance evaluation and optimization of design solutions at the early stages of the design process. As a developer of the sustainable building and urban design simulation software, Mr. Tang possesses proficient skills in Python and Grasshopper.
