{"id":1,"date":"2016-01-08T08:40:44","date_gmt":"2016-01-08T08:40:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fac.arch.hku.hku.hk\/wilson\/?p=1"},"modified":"2022-05-28T10:55:14","modified_gmt":"2022-05-28T02:55:14","slug":"we-won-the-cic-young-innovator-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fac.arch.hku.hk\/wilson\/we-won-the-cic-young-innovator-award\/","title":{"rendered":"We won the CIC Young Innovator Award!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My RPg students, Ms. Nina Niu, Mr. Leo Chen, Ms. Megan Ye, Mr. Diandian Liu, and Dr Kevin Wang, won the Hong Kong <a href=\"http:\/\/cicinnovationaward2015.hkcic.org\/en\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Construction Industry Council (CIC) Young Innovator Award 2015<\/a>. The winning idea is an \u201c<em>i-Core<\/em>\u201d developed in Dr Wilson Lu\u2019s team to encapsulate smart construction objects (SCOs) properties. Similar to a CPU to a computer, this \u2018<em>i-Core<\/em>\u201d can be understood as the \u2018heart\u2019 of smart construction. With this \u2018<em>i-Core\u2019<\/em>, it is possible to develop scalable and customizable smart construction, which is perceived as a promising direction of future construction. The Award Presentation Ceremony was held in the Government House on 15\u00a0December 2015 hosted by the Chief Executive, Hon Mr. LEUNG Chun-ying.
