This pilot project takes a course with an existing aim of imbruing students with creative thinking and innovation skills, and overlays a novel method of teacher-student interaction based on the popular reality TV show <em>The Apprentice<\/em> (NBC 2004-2015).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-457\" src=\"https:\/\/fac.arch.hku.hku.hk\/wilson\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/The_Apprentice_Logo-300x170.png\" alt=\"The_Apprentice_Logo\" width=\"300\" height=\"170\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fac.arch.hku.hk\/wilson\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/The_Apprentice_Logo-300x170.png 300w, https:\/\/fac.arch.hku.hk\/wilson\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/The_Apprentice_Logo-150x85.png 150w, https:\/\/fac.arch.hku.hk\/wilson\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/The_Apprentice_Logo.png 532w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Students are divided into teams. What is different is that the teams compete for digital rewards\/ credentials every week, decided following a boardroom-style analysis of their performance and evidence of their creative abilities in a collaborative team environment. Only one team can win reward (i.e. a digital credential) for each challenge.
