The merged demarcation

The Diaoyu / Senkau Islands Dispute has always been critical not just in East-Asia but also linked to the United States and it became white-hot in recent years.The island are a group of undeveloped islands located at east of China, northeast of Taiwan, west of Okinawa Island, and north of southwestern end of the Ryukyu Islands. For China, Japan, Taiwan and even US, these islands act as a threshold and hub to East Asia. The islands dispute consists of political implication, for instance, sovereignty, bilateral relations, natural resource, nationalism and economical dependence.

The thesis will be set in a specific time and space and using architecture as a mean of resolving the political conflict and dispute mentioned above. The architecture / thesis should be political-free and balance the benefits between all countries and therefore bringing peace into these islands. Instead of competing to each other, this thesis is aim to find a way of using architecture as a co-existing methodology to increase common value of each country.
