stones
The site offers a particularly large diversity of landscapes. One of the types is the collection of small stones that defines the east coast of the former quarry. In this project, students are expected to study the quality of stones, the potential of piling the stones into different patterns, the space shaped by stones, and the relationship between the stone structures and nature. First, the quality of stones varies among different types of stones, and it is important that students explore and discover the essence of each type as you work with them. Then, students are to study the concept of patterns and how small stones can use to build specific patterns that convey ideas/messages. The students are then asked to build/create the pattern and/or its volume to express your topic. The understanding of how the small stone structure co-inhabit with the site’s environment were studied.
