Queue often refers to the quantity, such as length, time, and I want to be quick, but quality queue is seeking different queueingexperience and its potential interaction with other activiteis and programs in the high density busy street in Hong Kong. I try to define the quality of queueing experience so that new opportunties will open up for design interference, such as the visible and invisible boundaries, the organization of street flows, the interaction between queque and other programs.

QUALITY QUEUE_WHY

Queue has been a universal phenomenon in lots of high density cities, particularly in Hong Kong it has been a way of life. In daily life, people queue for a seat in a restaurant; waiting in long bus line; queueing in front of well know shop even some building entrance with lift… Hongkongers also like to get in line for a few things: a toy that comes with a McDonald’s Happy Meal, a chance to buy an overpriced flat, or a new iPhone. A big queue of people lined up outside Studio A in Tsim Sha Tsui in the hope of buying a new iPhone.
