Wilson Lu and PhD candidate Yuchen Gao were recently invited by Aedas to share insights on Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) at the Aedas Taikoo office on 6 July 2026. Aedas is an architecture firm that has a long presence in the Hong Kong market and beyond. It took around 10 architecture students from both HKU and CUHK in their internship programme this year. Yuchen presented her research on a “Generative approach for low carbon MiC design” and shared her experiences in the architecture career with the interns. Later, Prof. Lu delivered a keynote on “MiC Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA): Perspectives from MiC Trio,” to the whole company. The engaging session highlighted cutting-edge sustainable innovations and further strengthened the collaborative bridge between academic research and world-class architectural practice.
