Module E

This final module focuses the attention on the landscape design process. Active conversations and participation with experts from the field, provide the resources for getting immersed in the landscape architecture discipline. Similarly, the diverse activities encourage students to reflect on every part of the process from concept to completion.


Final Project – Workshop 6

Bamboo Workshop with Inkgo Lam

Bamboo is the material students use for their final projects; this evergreen perennial plant is part of the cultural legacy of Hong Kong. During this workshop the contemporary bamboo artist Inkgo Lam gives a lecture to the students about the history of bamboo craftsmanship and share her art projects. Inkgo will also lead students learning traditional bamboo weaving step by step.


Talk 4

Talk by Ivan Valin, The head of DLA

The CDLA 2024 series ended with a talk by the current Head of the DLA, Ivan Valin. He showcased part of his own practice and a range of work from students of the multiple programs of the Division.


Final Project – Workshop 7

Bamboo Generations

Students get immersed in the use and applications of bamboo. Bamboo Generations introduces to bamboo and scaffolding with focus on structure and inclination and provide technical feedback to students to effectively develop their projects.


Final Project – Sharing Session

Final Exhibition

Students showcase their final projects and present the highlights of their design processes. Likewise, they exhibit all the work produced during the two-week CDLA journey. Conversations and reflections about the role of the field of landscape architecture are discussed during the exhibition.
