Module D

After learning and expanding on the significance of nature and its relationships, students evidence the fundamental role nature plays to achieve a sustainable and resilient future.

This year in collaboration with The Nature Conservancy Hong Kong we touch upon aspects related to conservation, restoration, ecological value and the nature-based solutions.


Site Visit 3

Pak Nai, Yuen Long

In collaboration with TNC students contribute to restore the environment. Participants will witness the crucial habitats in the Northern Coast of Hong Kong. Experts in the field narrate the importance of the initiatives and the efforts to regenerate and enhance the biodiversity.


Talk 3 + Site Visit 4

Maritime Museum, HK Island

As a Climate Change Fellow of The Nature Conservancy Hong Kong (TNC), Felix Leung introduces the Nature-based solutions concept and will present the work developed by TNC to conserve key habitats across the world. This talk along with ‘Site visit 3’ will serve as an induction for the visit to Pak Nai on the 29th of July. Both of them at the HK Maritime Museum.

Led by TNC, students visit “The Oyster Odyssey: Restoring Hong Kong’s Lost Treasure Exhibition” at the Maritime Museum at Central Pier Waterfront.


Site Visit 5

Airside, Kai Tak

This year in collaboration with Snøhetta, students learn the fundamentals of landscape design and the role of the landscape architecture discipline to deliver and consolidate meaningful projects. As a kick-off, Zeth Ko, Senior Architect, will walk us through their project next to the Kai Tak River.


Workshop 5

Portfolio Making

Students learn to organize, showcase, document and arrange different types of digital information using Adobe InDesign. With the material collected during their journey, they develop a portfolio for showcasing their main learning outcomes and daily experiences.
