Module C
In order to expand their understanding of nature, students learn its significance and intrinsic values from contexts beyond the city. Therefore, in this module, the activities reveal the deeper intertwined relationships between humans and nature embedded in the local culture. This year, we discover the Osing ideology from Indonesia.

From Indonesia, with a background in Cultural Sciences and Humanities, Wiwin Indiarti shares the insights of her research on the relationship between landscape, nature and Osing culture.
Exploration 2B
Urban-nature boxes
Using the narratives developed in Exploration 2A, students articulate their narratives and produce a layered physical model to present their re-constructed landscapes in class.

Model making
Understanding, representing and shaping space though the use of physical models is a fundamental skill of the landscape architecture discipline. In this workshop, through small exercises, students test different materials and learn how to build and develop study models.

Final Project 1
Site Visit & Concept Development
This is the first session of the CDLA final project. In here, students brainstorm their ideas and use their acquired knowledge to push design concepts. In groups, they develop study physical models and key aspects of their ideas to be pitched during a design workshop the next day.

Final Project 2 – Workshop 4
Snohetta Hong Kong
One of the global leading practices in the field of design, including landscape architecture,leads a morning session for sharing their work and thoughtful design practices with the students. Additionally, students share their final project concepts to develop their schemes during a workshop with professionals of diverse backgrounds.
