Guided by the question “How do landscapes work as complex systems?”, the two-week course is structured as a five-module sequence. Complex systems thinking frames the course, helping students understand landscape as a dynamic network of ecological, social, material, climatic, cultural, human, and non-human relationships. The course progresses from observation to relationship-building, from mapping to fieldwork, and from analysis to design synthesis, culminating in a final landscape intervention proposal and public exhibition.
